We started over 150 years ago with corn and polenta, a traditional food of our area, located in the beautiful plains near Bergamo, in northern Italy, not far from the majesty of the Alps.
For five generations the Nicoli family has worked side by side with the farmers and our fellow countrymen, sharing with them the love and respect for our generous land and its genuine products.

Our aim is to have a ZERO IMPACT ACTIVITY: we self-produce energy with photovoltaic systems and we are increasingly committed to reducing the plastic in our packaging by making it 100% recyclable in FSC certified paper, and using 100% recycled cardboard boxes

Attention to the consumer starts with sowing and cooperation with farmers.
We select the best GMO-free seeds together with them. Our agronomist follows the cultivation of corn directly in the field, ensuring its quality according to specific production guidelines, without chemical fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides.
With the same criteria, we have created the Italian oat production chain!
RACCOLTA E STOCCAGGIO
We harvest our corn once a year, starting in September.
After harvesting, our raw material is stored in our own drying centre, where it is carefully controlled.
The reinforced concrete storage silos are equipped with special thermal probes that detect the temperature at various levels, avoiding overheating thanks to jets of cooling air, in this way the healthy characteristics of the raw material remain unchanged.
From Harvest To Storage
We produce our allergen-free and gluten-free items in 2 dedicated plants, authorised by the Ministry of Health, in an area free from the risk of cross-contamination by products containing gluten.
In addition, we constantly raise our staff’s awareness of the strict hygiene rules to be applied throughout the department. All this allows the consumer who follows a gluten-free diet to have a product that is safe and suitable for his health.
The continuous analysis of the needs of the most attentive customers, including those who are intolerant to gluten, has enabled us to launch healthy items and new products on the market.
The need for innovation, the result of research and the desire to offer our consumers the most suitable food for every moment of the day has led us to develop Vitabella, a complete range of gluten-free, allergen-free products with oats and fibre, which take into account the latest nutritional recommendations.
